for two of them the ip addresses start with 127 and the other two start with 168. One thing to add that may help (or may not) we have four different touchpanels in four different rooms (technically 3 now because of the broken one). exe and have it installed on a new computer. I think i could find where the processor is and i believe it is on it's own network, but again that's something i could find out. it makes a clicking noise and gets really hot really fast. the backlight will come on and it will pull up the crestron logo, but then it just gets stuck there. there was an rj45 plugged into the back of it that was plugged into the floor. I don't have the panel with me, but a google search and it looks like one of the tsw's. (03 or 04 is most common, but it could be like 9F or 6A or 15 or whatever if the programmer decided to make it something other than the default). It will always be 2 characters, each character can be 0-F. You may have to try a few different numbers to see what works.
Put the IP address of your PROCESSOR (NOT the touchpanel) where it says "Hostname/IP Address". Open XPanel, go to Options->Host Settings. I'm assuming you have at least one of those files since you are seeing that error. vtz file for your IP touchpanel, we can get you connected. If you have the IP info for your processor, can ping it from your PC, and you have either the XPanel. Your integrator can help you figure that out.ĭo you know how to reach your processor on the network? Is it on your building network or on its own isolated one? You will have to be able to reach it from your PC to get XPanel to work. If you have no blinky lights of any kind on the panel it could be a power supply or you may be able to get the panel repaired by Creston for considerably less than buying a new one.
So an XPanel may not help in that situation. What does "dead" mean? No lights of any kind on the panel? Or does it light up, but none of the buttons work? If you can see an image on the screen but it doesn't do anything, the problem is more likely to be with the processor or connection between processor and panel. If it's an IP panel we have a good shot at getting you connected. If it's an old Cresnet panel, you are similarly out of luck. What kind of panel? Do you have a model number? If not, can you describe it? If it's one of the little wireless touchpanels you may be out of luck unless the integrator already programmed an XPanel in for you.
